Abstract
The method of measurement uses the fall in voltage method initiated by the connection of a known load Z into the network. The method includes a preliminary adaptation operation which consists of modifying the nature of the known load Z until the fall in voltage is a maximum. Modification of the load Z is achieved by modifying its argument phi whilst retaining its modulus ant. The variable known load Z (1) consists of a resistance network (2) which can be switched by a first stage (3) of a switch (4) in series with an inductance network (5). The inductance network (5) can be switched by a second stage (6) of the switch (4). Each resistance, inductance network switched simultaneously in series by the switch (4) has an impedance whose modulus nstant and whose argument phi is variable and depends upon the position of the switch.
