Abstract

The rapid-action coupling for semi-rigid plastic pipe has a hollow body (C) with three internal steps (C1-C3), a holder ring (8) and a pressure piece (P). When the pipe is fully inserted its end comes to rest against one step (C1). The central part of the ring has radial slits forming several gripper fingers (B1). On the central step (C3) sits sits a torous-shaped seal (J5) on which rests a cone ring (K) serving as a stop to limit the opening of the fingers.
