Abstract

The hot water boiler is for use with an open fire chimney, and incorporates a plate (1) with an uneven surface on the flame side. Chambers (16a, 16b) are formed inside the uneven portions and connected together and to the interior (13) of hollow claws forming the grate (5) supporting the fuel (14) at the lower part of the plate. The water inlet and outlet are connected directly to a heating circuit. The plate can be formed by a double casing comprising a first cast iron or steel plate on the flame side and incorporating the uneven portions, and to which a metal plate is sealed.
