Abstract

The valve with a mushroom shape closure is partic. for use with fluids under high pressure, and has two seals. One seal is metallic (3a-6a) and one is pliable (6b-8), the second pliable valve being fitted in front of the first in the fluid flow direction. The pliable seal has a cylindrical surface (6b) arranged coaxially to the movement axis of the closure part (3) and works in conjunction with a soft insert (8) arranged in a movable cylinder. This cylinder is firmly connected to the closure part (3) or is so formed that the closure or opening of the metallic seal occurs after or before the pliable seal. The soft insert (8) is fitted in a groove of the valve housing (2), and a cylindrical sealing surface is movably formed on the front part of the mushroom closure.
