Abstract

The packet with a sliding drawer is intended to contain such objects as cigarettes and sweets allows the packet to be opened with one hand. The packet, made from cardboard consists of a sliding drawer (1) with a hinged lid (2) which is located inside a case (4) open at both ends. The lid has overlapping edges (2') which prevents the drawer being opened the wrong way round. One edge of the case is hooked over (5) and this coacts with another hook (8) provided at the free edge of a tongue (7) cut in the bottom of the drawer, so that when the drawer is pushed outwards the lid automatically opens.
