Abstract

The oscillating articulated tricycle chassis has a lood-supporting beam rocking on a horizontal axis below the plane tangental to the top of the front wheel. The shape of the beam is such that the point at which the load acts on it is always below the rocking axis. The front wheel fork can have a cam working with two rollers mounted on the fixed part of the chassis and symmetrical in relation to the vertical centre line of the vehicle. When no force is applied to the steering or to the rocking part of the chassis, gravity brings the wheel back onto the centre line. There can be a bottom fixed floor on the rear part of th chassis, forming a support for driver or passenger so that the inclination of the rocking portion can be adjusted.
