Abstract

The strip steel blade, operating on one or both sides, is used for paring chips of wood wool and/or for grain splitting. It incorporates stop faces (6) or dividing material impressed sections (9) protruding symmetrically about the centre line of the strip steel, at freely selectable intervals. The edges of the holes (3) sited in the area of the seams (5) can form stop surfaces protruding from the plane of the strip steel. The centre line of the seams may run through the centre point of the holes, across the whole breadth of the strip steel. This system facilitates quick and accurate adjustment of the blade in the blade carrier, for various types of blade.
