Abstract
Dispositif sans pièce en mouvement permettant de séparer deux phases primitivement intimement mélangées. Il est d'axe vertical et comprend : une chambre de détente tourbillonnaire progressive 4, où le mélange est introduit tangentiellement 2, situee à l'intérieur d'une enceinte cylindroconique 10 à laquelle elle est raccordée tangentiellement, à son extremité évasée, par un prolongement en forme de volute 8 du rebord interne 7 qui recueille la phase lourde; la phase légère s'échappant par la large ouverture centrale Il. L'appareil est ouvert au sommet (sortie de la phase légère 12) et équippé au point bas d'une sortie de la phase lourde 9. L'invention peut être utilisée pour le dépoussiérage et/ou le dévésiculage de courants vapeurs ou gazeux, l'épaississement des boues, la clarification de liquides, la séparation de deux liquides non miscibles ou le débourbage d'une phase liquide.
