Abstract

Front and rear smooth blades are fixed back-to-back in direct contact with one another. The front edge of one blade is ground asymmetrically so that it is half the blade thickness from the contact surface with the rear blade. The front blade is at least twice as thick as the rear blade, typically .25 mm. Each of the cutting edges (11,13) are at an angle of between 10 and 18 degrees to the blade surfaces. There are slots in the front blade to locate it in place.
