Abstract

Procédé de liaison d'une paire de fibres optiques comportant chacune un noyau et une gaine en matière plastique. Une couche de renforcement 7 est fournie autour de la gaine 2 des fibres optiques comme d'habitude. La partie de liaison du noyau 1 est recouverte d'un manchon de protection 8 dont le diamètre interne est pratiquement égal au diamètre externe de la couche de renforcement 7. Le manchon de protection 8 est fixé jointivement à ces extrémités sur la couche de renforcement 7 par rétrécissement de tubes 10 rétrécissables thermiquement. Application au laser.
