Abstract

The system secures flexible cladding material used for sealing or protecting excavated earthworks. It uses a component of rigid material, in whose profile there are formed one or more open grooves in which the cladding is engaged. For anchoring it in the ground a tapering recess is provided in the component and an acute-angled apex. Anchoring can be by piles driven into the ground, the apex being secured in the pile. The component can be a one-piece plate with holes to accommodate the piles, while the profile of the recess can vary along the length of the plate.
