Abstract

A dehumidifier for incorporation in a double glazed window unit comprises a continuous strip which is permeable to moisture and incorporates a desiccant dispersed in a binder. The binder is based on a polymer or copolymer of a 1-4C olefin, ethylene/vinyl acetate or PVC. The desiccant strip is supported on or in a strip of channel profile linking the twin frames carrying the panes of glass. The strip is more readily installed and secured than loose particles or packets of desiccant.
