Abstract

Mode d'écriture d'informations concernant les défauts d'un support d'enregistrement magnétique où les informations portées par une pluralité de pistes sont écrites à l'intérieur d'une pluralité de secteurs dont chacun comprend au moins une zone de référence contenant des informations de repérage des pistes, une partie des secteurs étant des secteurs de << sauvetage >> contenant des informations prévues pour être contenues dans les secteurs présentant des défauts. Selon l'invention, le mode d'écriture est caractérisé en ce que les zones de référence de l'ensemble des secteurs comprennent des informations << d'indications de défauts >> indiquant si ces secteurs sont ou non défectueux. Applicable aux mémoires à disques magnétiques.
