Abstract
The pressure vessel consists of a jacket formed of cast material which is lined internally with steel. The space in between the steel lining and the outer jacket is filled with granules of metallic or ceramic material. The space is divided into a number of segments vertically and horizontally. The segments are fitted with openings in a number of locations on the vessel, leakage detection points being provided in the space.
