Abstract

Procédé de gestion d'un système de traitement de texte permettant de tenir à jour de façon efficace l'utilisation des segments d'une mémoire séquentielle sur laquelle sont emmagasinées les données de texte. Ce procédé permet de mettre en mémoire, retrouver et lire des entités de texte représentant des pages de document, grâce à l'utilisation d'un journal de marche emmagasiné dans la mémoire interne du système et enregistré sur plusieurs emplacements séparés de la mémoire séquentielle, seul le journal de marche physiquement le plus proche étant mis à jour à chaque emmagasinage de données de texte dans la mémoire séquentielle. Un tel procédé réduit considérablement l'espace de mémoire inutilisé en comprimant les entités de textes sur les segments de la mémoire séquentielle.A method of managing a word processing system making it possible to efficiently keep up to date the use of segments of a sequential memory on which the text data is stored.
