Abstract

The outer pipe (11) of a pipe joint has bevelled edges. The inner pipe (4) is fitted with square edges, and has a flange (18) at the inner end of the joint, and a collar (14) between the flange and the end of the tube. The joint (5) has an end flange (17) which fits over the outer pipe and a flexible outer rib (12) which forms the seal with the outer pipe. The end of the seal (6) is tapered and rests on the inner pipe. The step (15) fits over the collar (14) with a secondary inner seal (13) on the inner pipe.
