Abstract

The roller blind comprises a curtain holder (1) with the curtain fastened at one end of to the holder and with two pegs (10) which protrude axially from the holder to engage in slots (24) in the assembly fitments (23e which interacts with a flange roller (11) which is connected fixed against rotation to the curtain holder (1). A cord (13) is rolled onto the flange roller and is fastened at one end. The flanges of the flange roller are rotatably mounted in a sleeve (17) which has a radial bore (20) through the cord is passed and this sleeve is mounted for displacement relative to the flange roller (11). This allows the curtain blind to be freely rolled up and down by means of the cord but when unrolled the blind can be moved back to lie tight against the window to provide an effective heat and light barrier. A motorised drive unit can be included to allow easy rise and fall of the curtain.
