Abstract

Procédé d'exploitation de chambres de fours à coke disposées en batterie en combinaison avec une installation pour le préséchage ou le préchauffage du charbon à cokéfier, le charbon humide étant amené, en vue de son préséchage, au contact d'un courant de gaz inerte chaud dirigé en circuit fermé et le gaz inerte étant formé d'un gaz ne contenant que peu d'oxygène et, pour le reste, de l'azote, du gaz carbonique et de la vapeur d'eau. Aux gaz de cokerie, est additionnée, dans le barillet et/ou dans la conduite d'aspiration de l'exhausteur, une quantité de vapeur correspondant approximativement à la quantité d'eau retirée au préséchage des charbons mis en oeuvre. Application aux installations de cokéfaction.
