Abstract

The bracket is made of steel and has a flat surface (1) which comes into contact with the flange (15) of the channel (12). The end of the bracket is turned through a right angle (2) and has a jacking screw (7) locked into position by the lock nut (6). The opposite end of the bracket is turned to slip over the flange (15) of the channel, this being achieved by tightening the jackscrew (7). The load is carried on a cross bolt (13) which passes through both sides of the loop on the bracket. The length of of the bolt may be adjusted with the nut (23).
