Abstract

A cylindrical container is formed with a domed neck and a collar (8). Three longitudinal ribs are formed symmetrically in the domed section, the diameter of the circumscribing circle of the ribs being greater than (d2). A cylindrical cap for the container has straight walls which are elastically deformed by the ribs when applied to the container and this is sufficient to hold the cap firmly in place.
