Abstract

The extendable caravan, has the usual chassis and wheels (1), on top of which is a body (2). This has a floor (3), a roof (4) and front and rear panels and two half bodies (5, 6), each with a floor (7) and a roof (8), and panels and an external side panel (9). Each half body can slide sideways in association with a beam structure (10) fixed to it. This beam slides in a fixed transverse beam (12) fixed to the chassis frame. When opened up, the caravan width is almost doubled over nearly its entire length. Sliding is on rollers.
