Abstract

The adjustable support for the head rest of a vehicle seat back has upper and lower tubular, cylindrical parts (2, 3) both being made of metal. These are joined by a screw (4) and nut (5) and the lower body has a flat end (6). The upper body has a fork at its end (7). Between the flat end and the fork are washers (8) of antifriction material. The best angle is obtained by displacement of the upper and lower bodies relative to each other. The lower body (3) extends into an appropriate channel provided in the body of the seat back. A spring loaded ball (10) in a recess gives the required amount of locking in the channel.
