Abstract

The portable, battery operated torch has sections screwed together to form a cylindrical body accommodating the battery and a conical head incorporating a reflector. It also includes a spare bulb, whose base (11) is secured in a cylindrical component, connected by a flexible tongue (12) to the body (1). The spare bulb is accommodated between the head (2) and the reflector (4). There can be lengthwise internal ribs in the component, to secure the spare bulb base. This avoids any increase in the overall length of the torch to accommodate the spare bulb.
