Abstract

Appts. for ceramic press mould comprises two mould sections supported by slides >=1 of which has male and female moulding elements, and a groove for forming a reserve. Movement allows release of the male moulding elements and pressing to join the edges, without intermediate manoeuvre of the moulded articles which remain in the female moulding elements. The two mould sections pref. include conventional components allowing removal of excess material and centring, and compressed air pipes allowing removal from the mould of the articles. The appts. can be used for mfg. a series of non-complex articles, saves time, and avoids deformation of the articles prior to firing.
