Abstract

The machine provides for a rectangular bundle to be standing under a press which is operated by the hydraulic jack (19) bringing the arm (11a) down on the bundle. The circling strip (8) is supplied on a reel (9) and passes over guide rollers (30) through the feed rollers (3). The band passes through a slot in the guide (18), this being operated by the jack (1), so that the band may be turned through 180 deg., to pass along the top of the bundle first. The band is then looped under and the end is joined to the standing part.
