Abstract

The multiple X-ray unit for medical applications is one in which a number of X-ray machines are controlled from a corresponding number of consoles, which can be different and individually specialized, and in which a common data processor prepares the data, records the results, monitors safety conditions and the like, is presented. A single central power unit (1) containing the necessary high voltage transformers and rectifiers, feeds a number of X-ray machines (21,22...2n). A similar number of possibly different and specialized consoles (41,42...4n) are used to control these machines via two serial data highways (3a, 3b) between the consoles, the central power unit (1) and a data storage (5) and evaluation (6) unit. Machine operation conditions, data processing, result storage and the like are all automatically dealt with.
