Abstract

The roller unit allows goods to travel in any direction on a conveyor track, comprising a rotary disc on which a number of barrel-shaped rollers are mounted round the periphery rotating on axes at right angles to that of the disc. The outer peripheries of the rollers lie on a common circle. Peripheral ribs are provided on each of the rollers (4). The height of these ribs can be small in relation to the roller diameter, and narrow in relation to the interval between adjacent ribs, typically between 0.5-1.5 mm. in each case, while the interval between them can be from 2 and 5 mm. The ribs can be roughly of semi-circular cross-section.
