Abstract

Organophosphorus thiazole derivs. of formula (I) (where A is 2-4C alkylene; R1 and R2 are each 1-4C alkyl; and R is 2 or 3C alkyl), are new. Cpds. (I) are useful as insecticides and acaricides. A typical cpd. (I) is 2-diethoxy thiophosphonyloxy-4-methyl-4-carbethoxy-5,6-dihydro-4H-cyclopenta- thiazole. In an example, this was prepd. by first treating 2-carbethoxy-2-methyl-5-bromo cyclopentanone with ethyl thiocarbamate to give 4-carbethoxy-4-methyl-5,6-dihydro-4H-cyclopentathiazolin-2-one. The prod. was then treated with O,O-diethyl chlorothiophosphate.
