Abstract

The packaging provides protection for a record during transportation. It has a projections each side and folded over flaps for protecting the sides and edges. It is made from a single cardboard blank, the base (1) being a square. A flap (2, 3, 4, 5) and double fold lines (6, 9) is provided each side. On two opposing sides are cut-outs (8), these forming two sets of projections (7). The corresponding flaps (2, 4) have side tabs (10), forming the projection on the remaining sides when folded over the other pair of flaps and secured by a sealing tape (11, 12). These latter flaps (3, 5) also have projections (13, 14) matching those on the base when folded over.
