Abstract

The conductor identification ferrule (1) has a slotted label holder (1a) underneath which (1a) is a cylindrical ferrule (3) with flexible projecting fins inside (4). The profile of these fins (4) varies from a min. at the ends of the cylindrical ferrule to a max. at the middle. The internal dia. of the ferrule (3) is slightly greater than the conductor (5) to be labelled. When the ferrule (1) is pushed onto the conductor the fins (4) flex. The flexure of the fins causes them to grip the conductor and hold the label holder firm. The label holder and ferrule from a single unit.
