Abstract

The siphon trap has a length (6) of straight piping which is fixed (4, 5) to the outlet (1) of the pedestal type wash basin (2). This extension piece is, in turn, similarly fixed (9) to an upper body (8), the outlet (11) for waste water being horizontal. The lower portion of this body is inclined at an angle to the pedestal axis and has a threaded end (8b) to receive the bowl (12). This projects towards the rear opening (3a) of the pedestal (3), sufficiently to facilitate grasping (12a) for removal and replacement. The inner siphon tube (7) fits inside the body and is also angled to permit its entry (7b) into the bowl.
