Abstract

The polyhedral centre is for three dimensional structural assemblies of rods and bars. The rods can be fitted to this so as to swivel around the axes formed by the centre. The centre fibres of rods point towards the centre of a sphere circumscribing the centre. The number of bars can be varied according to the shape of the centres can form a geodetic dome along a given design. It gives a ventilation safety factor against fire and also gives resistance against corrosion. The centre is particularly suitable for use with wooden bars.
