Abstract

A hydraulic motor arrangement prevents an uncontrollable load movement when there is leakage in the hydraulic fluid line between the controlling directional valve and the hydraulic fluid chamber of the motor acted upon by the load pressure. This hydraulic fluid chamber (1) is connected to the hydraulic fluid line (5) by a non-return valve (15) set so that it allows a flow of fluid into the chamber and through a variable choke valve (10) parallel to the non-return valve and controlled by an external setting force. The choke valve (10) is so controlled according to the operation of the direction valve (2) that, corresponding to the valve stem movement, it is opened from its nil position into the direction which produces an exit of fluid from the motor fluid chamber.
