A collector for oil floating on water, comprises a floating structure with alternate means of propulsion, rotary collecting cylinders, doctor plates for removing the oil from the cylinders and drains into a storage reservoir. Appts. collects the oil without taking large amts. of water on board. It is esp. useful in shallow water.
