Abstract

The X-ray tube radiate an electron beam on to a target electrode which then emits X-rays. The target electrode is bent int an arc of a circle. the electron beam i directed to a limited area of the target electrode from which X-rays are emitted in the general direction of the axis of curvature. The electron source position can be changed along the target electrode in order to emit X-rays consecuritvely from different areas of the target electrode. The electron source may be a tungsten cathode on a carrier moving along the target electrode.
