Abstract

The connector has a stirrup (1) through which the cable (C) passes and which has a pair of elements (2, 4) with opposed teeth projecting through the cable insulation. The upper element is moved by a grub screw towards or away from the second element which slides in the stirrup and which has an opening (6) for a take-off cable clamped by a second grub screw (7). Each element has three to rows of teeth extending longitudinally of the cable (C). Each tooth has a triangular section with a tip which extends a short distance horizontally. The teeth tips are on an imaginary cylinder which extends longitudinally of the cable.
