Abstract

The seal which is integral with a tear off tab is placed over the outlet of the tube with the tab folded over. In this way a screw stopper can be screwed down tightly and the tube closed. The seal is made by locating the tube at the centre of an induction coil which seals the aluminium foil onto the tube, without disturbing any of the contents. The seal is made from a stamping from a single row of aluminium foil.
