Abstract

Bottom-discharge centrifuge comprises a drum wall (2) without stays, which can be lited off a stationary drum base (1) connected to the upper end of a vertical drive shaft which is mounted in the centrifuge base by a resilient bearing allowing wobble movement. The drum wall has a downwardly conically diverging seat surface mating with a conical seat surface at the edge of the drum base. In the centrifuge is a conical mounting ring on which the drum wall is supported in the open position. In the centre of the drum wall below liquid outlet openings is a horizontal centrifuging ring (11) of which the outer edge engages over the inner edge of a collecting trough (18). Beneath the centrifuging ring is a supporting ring which can be raised or lowered by a mechanical or hydraulic lift device (30-35).
