Abstract

The temperature-stabilised RF filter consists of inter-coupled resonant cavities each with a tuning screw extending down through one of its walls. The shanks of the screws have the shape of thin posts and do not touch the walls of their tubular holders or the walls of the cavities. The tubular holders extend outside the cavity walls and are internally threaded to take the threaded heads of the screws. The tubular holders and the walls of the cavities have the same coefficients of thermal expansion, or the former's coe. is greater than the latter.
