Abstract

The hermetically sealed watch case comprises a watch back (4), a frame ring (6) and a watch glass (1). The watch back has an upstanding sidewall (5), surrounding the watch movement as high as the thickness of the watch case. The watch glass has a depending peripheral skirt (2), with a similar depth and fitting outside the sidewall. The frame ring fits around the outside of this skirt. The resetting mechanism for the watch movement may be completely contained within the watch case. It is biased into the active position and returned to the rest position by rotating an external ring.
