Abstract
The telecommunications repeater may be used in a satellite. It consists of the series combination of a first amplifier for all n input signals lying in a first frequency band, a frequency converter, and a second amplifier for all signals lying in a second frequency band. The frequency converter has a modulator. The modulator consists of a frequency generator and the converter transposes the first frequency band into a low frequency band. The modulator angle modulates this low band such that the modulated signal lies in the second frequency band.
