Abstract

The method of enclosing a container with a hose shaped covering material lines up a guide link (20) concentric to the container. The guide link is held stationary by a gripping device (40, 40a). Hose shaped cover material is supplied on to one end of the guide link held by the gripping device. The gripping device is removed from contact with the guide link, and an interference installation applied to the guide link. The interference installation is moved along the axis of the guide link from one of its ends to the other. This transfers material on to the container and encloses it. The hose material is cut to a pre-dertemined length before fitting and is also widened into a cylindrical shape.
