Abstract

The road vehicle toolbox for lorries is rectangular in shape, and closed along its outer side face by a door hinging at the bottom on a horizontal axis. On the lower edge and two sides of the door (3) are bent-over portions (4, 5) which, when shut, cover the lower edge of the box and also the two adjacent vertical edges. A pivoting shutter (10) is mounted on the top of the box or near the top edge of the door, covering the top of the latter when shut. Thus the contents are completely protected from the wet, even in the rainiest weather.
