Abstract

The machine is for handling goblets and windeglasses etc. during manufacture, and incorporates a number of firmly - mounted beams (1) equipped with grips (9) for the glass items (8), travelling along an endless conveyor (7) through washing, blowing and drying zones. The items can be thoroughly washed by means of aimed spray heads (3), while any drops remaining afterwards can be removed by air jets and/or sponges. Drying can be effected by adjustable hot-air jets. The design combines gentle handling, with consequent reduction of breakages, with complete removal of any calcium deposit which might cause trouble when applying decorative metal subsequently.
