Abstract

The lubricating oil cooler for a liquid cooled engine is disposed in a casing which forms part of the engine cooling circuit. On one side, the device has orifices for the entry and exit of the lubricant, these orifices being connected to corresponding orifices in the casing. The casing is also provided with entry and exit ports for the coolant, the lubricant and coolant flowing in opposite directions but being separate. The coolant entry port is at the bottom of the casing, its exit being at the top of the casing.
