Abstract

An electronic control unit has all the components connected to a PCB in a single operation and has a connector which does stress the printed circuit. The unit has a can (1) and a cover (2). Inside the can (1), there are two guide-grooves to take a PCB (4). The PCB (4) has conductor tracks and electronic components, and it also has a connector block (5) with lugs (6) and rivets (7) to fit it to the board (4). The connector block (5) has pins (8) connected to the tracks of the PCB (4) by links (10). The connector block (5) is also fitted to the cover (2) by retaining hooks (14). The hooks (14) can allow for small variation in dimension between the cover (2) and the connector block (5).
