Abstract

The suspension head of a vertical washing tube moves on a horizontal rail by means of 3 sliding contact points that combined exert a press. more than the total wt. of the movable assembly. This ratio of force exerted by the 3 points to that of the wt. of the assembly is obtd. by positioning the centre of gravity of the moveable assembly in an excentred way in relation to the vertical axis of the rail or by means of a horizontal guide on the lower part of the tube or by a combination of these 2 methods. Used as a support for the moveable vertical tube for washing air filters, particularly filters made of plastic. It supports the washing tube with excellent lateral angular rigidity without interfering with lateral displacement and avoids the need to remove filters for cleaning.
