Abstract

Disposable spoon comprises a handle made of material which is insoluble in beverages, and a wide concave end made of sweetening material, pref. cast white sugar having a wt. equivalent to that required to sweeten one beverage, and connected to the handle by means which prevent the handle from coming loose. Pref. the joint of the wide concave end is reinforced by a thickened portion of sugar around the handle which is fixed within the concave end. As an alternative to the spoon shape, the wide end may have the shape of a spatula. The handle may be made of cast material bearing advertising inscriptions, instructions for use, etc. The end of the handle which is fixed in the wide end may include means preventing the handle from coming loose, e.g. teeth.
