Abstract

Sampling tubes for glycaema dosage are treated (for sampling 5 ml of blood) with: 40 ml of a 76 g/1 soln. of NaF and 30 ml of a 10 g/1 soln. of hepain (solns. in distilled water). The sampling tubes are treated with fine pipettes contg. each soln. and then dried at 37 degrees C. They are arranged so as to ensure even distribution of the reagents along the tube. This treatment has an antiglycolytic, anticoagulant and non-haemolysing effect.
