Abstract

The supersonic detector has one or more piezoelectric wafers connected to a high-frequency generator, and an electronic unit such as an oscilloscope has a screen depicting the position of an organ of the human body and that of a surgical or diagnostic instrument. Detector and instrument are mounted on a frame with controls for hand operation, adjusting the positions and directions of each. The controls can include one or more detector wafer carriers with movable connections to the frame. There can be a bar supporting the instrument, movable in relation to the frame under the action of an adjustment regulating its a angle of inclination.
